Newly Gelded Sartorial Splendor Sizzles at the Valley

A Group III winner at Moonee Valley last spring, talented Brazen Beau four year-old Sartorial Splendor lost all form in the autumn and was subsequently gelded, but returned with a sizzling performance at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

Contesting Heat 3 of the 55 second challenge over 955m, the John Sadler trained Sartorial Splendor showed his customary speed to lead and kept up a good gallop to win by half a neck clocking 54.65, the second fastest time in the history of the challenge which has been going for a decade.
 



A $130,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Blue Gum Farm draft for his trainer, Sartorial Splendor has won three of 12 starts earning over $329,000 for his owners.

Sartorial Splendor is a half-brother to Group II winner Fontiton and is among seven winners from top producing stakes-winner Personal Ensign.
