I Am Invincible Hits Nervous 99

Tara Madgwick - Sunday December 6

I Am Invincible is drawing closer to the seasonal milestone of being the first stallion to sire 100 winners since August 1, racking up his 99th winner at Hawkesbury on Sunday when Hurt Money broke his maiden for Peter and Paul Snowden.

The three year-old colt was resuming from a spell after two runs earlier in the year when she was a good second on debut to The Face and then pulled up lame after finishing eighth at Canterbury.

He looked good in two recent trials and coasted home to win the 1000m maiden by a length and a quarter.

A $300,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Macquarie Stud draft for E & E Bloodstock, she runs in the colours of well known owner Alan Osburg, who won the Group I ATC Coolmore Classic last year with Dixie Blossoms.

Hurt Money is the third winner from four foals to race from Group III winner Zingaling, a half-sister to Group III winner Rainbow Styling and to the dam of recent Group I WATC Railway Stakes winner Inspirational Girl.

Yarraman Park’s I Am Invincible is an unstoppable force for siring winners and has been leading sire by Australian winners for the past two seasons.
