Easi Win for Pride of Dubai Filly

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 10

Chris Waller has sent out a few runners of late resuming from a spell with no barrier trials and he did it again at Randwick on Wednesday when Easifar ran her rivals into the ground to win as she pleased.

Never further back than fourth in her first four starts last year, Easifar won her maiden at Randwick last November and then went to the paddock after her next start.

Fresh and full of running, she led all the way under Tommy Berry to score a commanding two and a quarter length win in the Benchmark 72 ever over 1400m for fillies and older mares.

000 Magic Millions purchase from the Wentwood Grange draft for Debbie Kepitis’ Woppitt Bloodstock, Easifar is a half-sister to South African Group III winner Readytogorightnow.

Easifar as a yearling, Chris Waller has had plenty of luck with horses bought from Wentwood Grange including G1 stars Kermadec and Kolding.

She is the fifth winner from Storm Fronts, a half-sister to stakes-winner Miss Minden, the dam of Group I Queensland  Oaks winner Miss Danehill and Group II winning $1.9million earner Pentastic.

The ease with which Easifar won today would suggest 1600m will be within her range and there are surely Black Type races on the agenda for her over the autumn carnival and beyond.

Easifar is one of 31 winners this season for Pride of Dubai, who is the leading second crop sire by winners and earnings.
