Revolutionary Miss Wins G3 Summoned Stakes

Tara Madgwick - Saturday December 2

A multiple Group II winner with a couple of G1 placings to her name, Russian Revolution mare Revolutionary Miss had a class edge over her rivals in the $200,000 Group III MRC Summoned Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on Saturday and held off a wall of challengers to take the win.

Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, Revolutionary Miss was a last start winner of the Rosemont Pendant at Cranbourne and made it back to back wins when scoring by a long neck with Mick Dee in the saddle.

"She pretty much did it all herself, the plan wasn't to be as close as we were, I know we were probably the only speed horse on paper, ended up outside leader by default and she travelled really strong, hit the front very early in the straight,” said Dee.

“It was credit to her to fight off those challengers who were coming very fast.”

The Gold Coast may be a possibility for Revolutionary Miss, who has the overall record of four wins and five placings from 20 start and has banked over $1.2million in prizemoney for her big group of owners.

“She'll have a little freshen up, she is eligible for the Magic Millions so she won't get many sleeps, but she'll have probably ten days off and turn around and back again and we might look at taking her up there, but it all depends on how she comes through today and she'll always come first,” said Peter Snowden.

A $195,000 Magic Millions purchase for Triple Crown Syndications from the Sledmere Stud draft, Revolutionary Miss was bred by China Horse Club and is a half-sister to stakes-winner Equation from stakes-placed Onemorenomore mare Purcentage.

Purcentage has a yearling colt by Savabeel that will be offered by The Chase at Magic Millions as Lot 65 and she was covered again last spring by Russian Revolution, who has 27 entries for Magic Millions and 19 for Inglis Classic.
