Dr Richard McClenahan, his wife Kim and their team can expect to be busy at Inglis Classic this week with a cracking draft of 16 yearlings by 14 different sires offering a mix of the promising and proven.
Mullaglass Stud sold at Inglis Classic last year for the first time under their own brand achieving great success in selling 16 yearlings for $1,775,500 with their best result a Justify (USA) filly from Islay Inlet (Can) that made $420,000.
It was a pleasing debut for the farm and another step in their evolution to becoming a commercial force after starting along this path back in 2014 at this sale when selling an I Am Invincible colt from Volkaspray in the draft of Dartbrook Downs Thoroughbreds for $95,000.
He would go on to become Group I winning sire Hellbent and his success paved the way to a future that now sees Mullaglass Stud presenting 16 youngsters, click here for the full draft with highlights below:
Lot 172 Filly Farnan x Dorotea, by Lope de Vega (IRE)
From the second crop of Farnan and is bred on the exact same cross as his star colt North England, winner of the $1million ATC Golden Gift and also from a daughter of champion Irish sire Lope de Vega.
