th in the Group II MVRC Moonee Vallee Fillies Classic last spring, Polymnia is sure to relish an even longer trip and will no doubt be aiming towards Black Type races with her confidence up after her maiden win.

A $250,000 Inglis Easter purchase from Vinery Stud for John O'Shea Racing / Suman Hedge Bloodstock, Polymnia is a half-sister to stakes-winner Garza Blanca and full sister to stakes-placed Easy dun being the third winner from three foals to race from Mousai, a winning half-sister by Fastnet Rock to Champion Sprinter and G1 sire Starspangledbanner.

Mousai is also a three-quarter-sister-in-blood to Group I winner Amicus, the dam of Melbourne Cup placed Group II winner Okita Soushi (IRE).

Vinery Stud will offer an I Am Invincible filly from Mousai at Inglis Easter as Lot 75.

At Bendigo, Peter Snowden was able to get Dundeel filly Dolce Dior into the winner’s circle with a tough staying effort to win the 2200m maiden as favourite.

She ran the trip right out for Jamie Mott to score her first win in six starts.

“I was the strongest late and she will definitely get further,” said Jamie Mott.

“She’s a nice strong stayer.”

Retained to race by her breeders, Dolce Dior is a half-sister to Group III winner Amalfi Prince and is the second winner from stakes-placed Dubai Destination (USA) mare Campania, who won up to 1900m and is a grand-daughter of Group II winner Born Priceless.

Marquee Stud will offer a yearling full brother to Dolce Dior at Inglis Easter as Lot  314.
