Boom Sale on Gold Coast

A perennial source of juvenile talent, Spirit of Boom has stepped on the gas this season with winners of 15 x 2YO races including 4 individual stakes races.

It certainly augurs well for the 2025 Magic Millions March Yearling Sale which kicks off tomorrow and features no less than 22 youngsters by Spirit of Boom – with an even 10 from his homebase, Eureka Stud.

“Spirit of Boom is punching out mass winners and stakes winners as per usual, but the past few months have been incredible for his 2YOs,” Eureka Stud’s Harry McAlpine points out.

"On top of his usual Queensland 2yo domination he has had his best performances interstate with Lindsay Park’s Shining Smile winning three stakes races in a row, and Gin Spirit who won the Cinderella late last month and finished second in the (Group 3) Ottawa. Also the very promising Extractor, who was third in the Golden Gift and the Lonhro Plate before a luckless run in the Blue Diamond.

“He is just a remarkable stallion … he’s got 72% winners to runners and 5% stakes winners to runners! We’re really looking forward to this week because he always seems to unearth some of his most talented at this sale with the likes of Prince of Boom, Chinny Boom, Keshi Boom, Boomnova, Champagne Boom and Boomsara all coming out of here!"
