Inglis Easter Pinhook Winners - See the Full List

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday April 9

With a super strong market at Inglis Easter this week it was no surprise to see some very successful pinhook results and the best of them was a handsome chestnut colt from the first crop of Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside that sold for $650,000.

Below are all the pinhook results that made $100,000 profit or more..

Silverdale Farm have had some big pinhook results in the past, most notably with the 2023 Inglis Easter sale-topper Autumn Glow, who they sold for $1.8million after purchasing her as a weanling for $600,000 and they featured at the top of the list again this year.

Silverdale Farm bought the Stay Inside colt from German stakes-winner Schwesterherz (Fr) from Sledmere Stud at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale for $120,000 and realised a big profit when selling him as a yearling for $650,000 to James Harron Bloodstock Colt Partnership / Tony Fung Colts.

He is the first foal of Schwesterherz, who has been married to Stay Inside and has a filly to follow and is back in foal to him again.

Rhys and Chloe Smith of Kulani Park are also well respected for their pinhook success and did very well with their Written colt from Dinnigan that sold for $425,000 to Zhao Zhijun.

Bred on the same cross as G1 winners Private Life, Captured by Love and Velocious, the colt was sourced from the Twin Hills Stud draft at Inglis Great Southern Sale for a paltry $15,000.

Kiwi based pinhookers Lyndhurst Farm had the original plan of offering their Written Tycoon filly from Passarelle at Karaka Book 1 and she did go back to New Zealand with that goal in mind, but plans change and she ended up coming back to Australia and was sold for $650,000 to Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock.

The filly was sourced from the Willaroon Thoroughbreds draft at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale for $350,000.

Hunter Valley based Cannon Hayes Stud got a great result with their Zoustar colt from Group III placed News Girl with Mick Price Racing securing him for $500,000.

He was sourced from the Two Bays Farm draft at Inglis Great Southern for $250,000.
