Dundeel's Cinch Goes Back To Back Stakes Wins

Craig Tompson - Saturday April 12

A last start Tasmanian Oaks winner, and a half-sister to a Golden Slipper winner, Cinch made it two stakes wins in a row when taking the Group III Sportsbet Auraria Stakes (1800m) at Morphettville on Saturday.

Ridden by Celine Gaudray, the Ben, Will & JD Hayes trained daughter of Dundeel sat outside the lead and finished too strongly to beat All Kinds Of Folk (D'argento) by a neck with Phenom (Zoustar) third.

The win takes her record to three wins and two seconds from six starts with earnings of $206,790.

Cinch is the seventh foal of Snitzel mare, Eyes For Fun, who’s first foal was Mossfun, winner of the 2014 Golden Slipper, while she has also left Singapore Group I winner Aramco.

After missing in 2023 she was served by Jacquinot last season.
