Extreme Choice share headlines May (Early) Online Sale

Media Release - Friday May 9

A share in the world’s hottest young stallion Extreme Choice, two breeding rights in leading first season sire Bivouac and a half sister to G1 Golden Slipper winner Farnan headline a high quality catalogue for the Inglis Digital May (Early) Online sale.

Extreme Choice is statistically one of the best-performing stallions in the world, already the sire of five individual G1 winners from his first 115 runners.

Extreme Choice

He has also been a commercial sensation, in the last couple of years in particular, with his yearlings selling up to $1,700,000 and averaging in excess of $579,999 across the Inglis Easter and Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sales.

Extreme Choice (pictured) will stand at Newgate Farm at a service fee of $330,000 (inc GST) in 2025, the most expensive sire in the Southern Hemisphere.

Two breeding rights in Bivouac are another exciting element of the May (Early) Sale.

Bivouac is the fastest first season sire to produce two Group winners since his own sire, Exceed And Excel.

Bivouac’s second-crop yearlings have outperformed the first, averaging $350,000 at the 2025 Easter Yearling Sale.

Summer Surf (Big Brown) is a winning half sister to G2 winner and in-demand young stallion Farnan.

In his first crop Farnan is already the sire of G3 Black Opal winner King Of Pop, G3 Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes winner Recuperato and G3 Kindergarten Stakes and $1m Golden Gift winner North England

Summer Surf is being offered in foal to popular top-class sire Toronado.

In total the May (Early) Sale has 531 entries – 195 broodmares, 194 racehorses (102 race fillies), 59 racehorse shares, 51 yearlings, 27 weanlings, 4 breeding rights and 1 unbroken stock.
