Aussie Exceedance Winner in Japan

Tara Madgwick - Sunday May 18

Promising Exceedance colt Bellagio World was purchased for $220,000 from the 2024 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale by Winning Stud / Satomi Oka Bloodstock (FBAA) and he opened his winning account in Japan on the weekend with a victory in Tokyo.

Ridden by Aussie jockey Mick Dee and trained by Daishi Ito, Bellagio World was having his fourth start in the 1400m turf maiden for three year-olds (he is still only two) and broke through to win by a length after placing at his previous three runs.

Bellagio World was bred and consigned by Vinery Stud and is the second winner from Beechal, a half-sister by Lonhro to Group III winner Table Bay.

Bellagio World was purchased for $220,000 from Inglis Premier.

Vinery Stud sold a full brother to Bellagio World at Inglis Classic this year and he was purchased for $140,000 by K Morikawa / Satomi Oka Bloodstock (FBAA) and has also been exported to Japan.

Exceedance has had just the one runner in Japan and he is now a winner!

Beechal produced another colt by Exceedance last spring and is now in foal to Hawaii Five Oh.
