Melbourne Racing Club Partnership Delivers Global Access for Members

Media Release - Thursday July 24

The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) has today announced an exciting new international partnership with the UK’s leading racing operator, The Jockey Club, to provide MRC members with reciprocal access to some of the most iconic racecourses in the world.

In a move that strengthens MRC’s commitment to delivering unmatched value and global experiences for its members, the partnership will see Full MRC Members – including Young Members, MRC Plus, Chairman’s Club and Mornington Members – receive complimentary admission for themselves and a guest to all The Jockey Club race days (subject to availability - with limited access at the Cheltenham Festival) across the UK, from 1 August 2025 to 31 December 2026.

The Jockey Club operates 15 of the most prestigious racecourses in England, staging over 300 race meetings annually. These include the world-famous Epsom Downs, Newmarket’s Rowley Mile and July Course, Cheltenham, Aintree, Sandown Park and Haydock Park – homes to such globally significant races as The Derby, The Oaks, 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas, The July Cup, The Eclipse and The Sprint Cup.

“This is a landmark partnership that opens up the very best of international racing to our members,” said MRC Executive Chairman John Kanga. “We’re proud to align with The Jockey Club to deliver premium access to historic venues and world-class racing – further enhancing the benefits of MRC membership and celebrating the truly global nature of our sport.”

The announcement builds on MRC’s existing ties with The Jockey Club, including the ballot exemption offered to winners of the Group 2 Jockey Club Stakes and Group 2 Princess of Wales’s Stakes into the prestigious Sportsbet Caulfield Cup.
