Exclusive opportunity to purchase nomination in Too Darn Hot

Media Release - Friday August 22

Exciting racing and breeding prospects – plus a nomination in Champion First and Second Season Sire Too Darn Hot (Dubawi) – headline a diverse catalogue of 302 lots for the Inglis Digital August (Late) Online Sale.

The Too Darn Hot offering is a rare and exclusive opportunity to purchase the last available nomination in the history-making stallion ahead of the breeding season.

Too Darn Hot (GB)

Such has been the astonishing start to his stallion career in the Southern Hemisphere, Too Darn Hot has sired the winners of more Group races than well-known Australian stallions Snitzel, Fastnet Rock, I Am Invincible and newly crowned Champion Sire Zoustar, at the same stage of their careers.

Too Darn Hot’s outstanding first crop is the best in Australia this century with more Group and Stakes wins than any other stallion by the end of their progeny’s three-year-old year season, headed by four-time G1 winner Broadsiding.

In the sale ring, his yearlings have sold up to $1.9m, horses-in-training $2.4m (Too Darn Lizzie) while Broadsiding now stands on the same stallion roster at Darley.

The sale of the Too Darn Hot nomination is a collaboration between Godolphin, Watership Down Stud and CatWalk and will see all proceeds go directly toward funding critical research to help those living with spinal cord injuries.

Plenty of Ammo (Rebel Raider) is a young broodmare prospect ready for her maiden cover.

The 7YO mare won five of her 10 career starts including at G2 level at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate Day.

Ahuriri (Almanzor) is a Stakes-winning 5YO closely related to three-time G1 winner Lucia Valentina – offered as a racing and breeding prospect – while Cold Brew (Pierro) is a progressive 4YO that has won his past three starts including a 3.6L victory at his most recent outing at Rosehill earlier this month.

Another appealing lot is Premise, a talented racemare who finished third behind Pennyweka in the G1 ATC Oaks as a 3YO.

The 302-strong catalogue for the August (Late) Sale consists of 151 racehorses (80 race fillies), 71 racehorse shares, 61 broodmares, 12 yearlings, 4 2YOs, 1 stallion nomination, 1 stallion breeding right and 1 unraced stock.
