Juvenile Trial Watch - Warwick Farm

Breednet - Thursday November 13

There were only two juvenile heats at the Warwick Farm trials on Thursday with one winner from a family that has brought his trainer great joy, and the other heat giving us a first look at an I Am Invincible filly with obvious promise.

Heat eight was won by the Gary Portelli trained Capitalist colt Regal Profit, having his second trial and showing the benefit of the experience with good gate speed before taking control of the heat before the turn.

He is out of the Time For War mare Still Reigning, a half-sister to Group I Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign and a full sister to Group II Silver Slipper Time To Reign, both trained also by Gary Portelli.

Portelli paid $100,000 for Regal Profit at the Magic Millions Gold Coast from the Newgate Farm draft.

Heat nine gave us the first look at Bjorn Baker trained I Am Invincible filly I Am Dirty, which sat just off the leader before accelerating quickly at the 200m mark to go on and win Impressively.

She is the first foal of So You Think mare Dirty Thoughts, a winner of the Group III Northwood Plume Stakes.

Baker and Jim Clarke from Clarke Bloodstock went to $600,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast to secure her from the Ridgmont draft.

A full sister to I Am Dirty has been catalogued as Lot 220 for next year’s Magic Millions in the Newgate draft.
