A dual Group I winning sprinter of $3.7million in prizemoney, In Her Time was a high profile acquisition for Yulong when snapped up for $2.2million at the 2021 Inglis Chairman’s Sale and she produced her second winner at Canterbury on Friday night.

Written Tycoon colt Patonga was a $750,000 Magic Millions purchase for Tom Magnier and was unraced at two.

The Chris Waller trained colt has started to put it together this season with a debut fifth and then a second at his first two starts at the provincials before stepping out to 1550m for a maiden event tonight in which he led all the way to win.

Nash Rawiller rated Patonga well in front and he kicked on well to win by three-quarters of a length as favourite.

Patonga is the second foal and second winner for In Her Time, whose third foal is another colt by Written Tycoon that was again purchased by Tom Magnier, but this time for $1.8million.
