The first yearlings by Australian Horse of the Year Anamoe have been in hot demand this week at Magic Millions with two fillies selling for $800,000 and on Thursday that mark was surpassed by a gorgeous colt that made $850,000.
Consigned by Milburn Creek, the colt was bred by UK based bloodstock agent John Warren and is a half-brother to Group III winner Tannhauser from stakes-placed Exceed and Excel mare Luqyaa, a daughter of stakes-winner Charmview.
He was purchased by MyRace Horse Pty Ltd/Michael Freedman Racing/Belmont Bloodstock Agency (FBAA)/AWB and is bred on a magic cross.

Anamoe’s sire Street Boss has quite an affinity with daughters of Exceed and Excel with this nick producing nine stakes-winners at 15% SW to runner and they include superstar 3YO’s Tentyris and Tempted….. both of whom look a lot like this colt!
“We thought he was the best Anamoe in the sale and we actually thought he was the best colt in the sale and we didn’t want to leave without him,” said My Racehorse ambassador Emma Freedman.
“The mare has done an amazing job. On type he was great, on pedigree he was great and we believe in the stallion going forward and we’re very excited to get him.
“We know that our clients at Myracehorse will dive into him. Anamoe, a nine-time group one winner, he’s going to do a lot going forward on the farm and we look forward to sending him to Michael Freedman Racing.”
Michael Freedman has already had great success for MyRacehorse as the trainer of Group I ATC Flight Stakes winner Apocalyptic, bought from Magic Millions in 2024 for $400,000. He also puts the polish on MyRacehorse colourbearer Ninja, the race favourite for Saturday's $3million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas.
Luqyaa had a filly by Toronado (IRE) last spring before going to Too Darn Hot's champion son Broadsiding.
