Premier Power On Show For Blue Gum Farm

With a significant draft of 33 yearlings set to sell at this year’s Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, Blue Gum Farm’s tried and tested path of supporting their local sale continues to pay dividends with a host of stakes-winning graduates off the farm as well as numerous Leading Vendor titles over the years.

“As has been the status for Blue Gum Farm since its inception, the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale has always been our main sale,” stated Sean Dingwall.

“We always take an exceptional group of yearlings to the sale, and this year is no different with plenty of stallion variation and siblings to recent stakes horses.

“We are thrilled with the draft, and our recent yearling parades on the farm have shown that the draft has been very well received.”

From the family of the former Chris Waller trained, G1 Epsom Handicap winner He’s Your Man, this colt is out of a mare by Peintre Celebre, broodmare sire of more than 20 individual G1 winners.

“A replica of his dad, he is quality head to toe. He looks an athlete and has great presence,” enthused Dingwall.

“An absolute two-year-old, incredible strength with a great depth of girth. He should go early.”

Lot 375: Anaome x Strike Swiftly, by Shellscrape colt

One of just two yearlings in the Blue Gum draft by Street Boss’ Champion son and nine-time G1 winner Anamoe, this colt is the third foal of the half-sister to the dual G2 winner Splintex and  Listed winner Invictus Salute.

From the family of Champion 2YO Filly Learning To Fly, G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Ozzmosis and promising young sire Acrobat, this colt is bred on the same double Danehill pedigree cross as G1 winners Mizzy, Skybird and Schwarz.

“An Anamoe who looks very sharp and forward, he will come to hand early. An exciting colt.”

Lot 490: All Too Hard x Athens, by Medaglia d’Oro colt

A son of All Too Hard, sire of five G1 including Alligator Blood, Forbidden Love and Stefi Magnetica, this colt is out of a Medaglia d’Oro half-sister to G2 winner and $2m earner Savatiano, herself the dam of this G1 Spring Champion Stakes winner Attica.

The colt is out of a mare by Medaglia D’Oro, broodmare sire of 12 individual G1 winners including this season’s exciting 3YO filly Apocalyptic.

Lot 496: Pinatubo (IRE) x Aurora Lights, by Snitzel colt

From the second southern hemisphere crop of Shamardal’s multiple G1 winner Pinatubo, whose first local crop including G3 Maribyrnong Plate placegetter Tales Of Time, this colt is out of the Snitzel mare Aurora Lights, a full-sister to the Listed Hong Kong Derby winning, G1 placed Cap Ferrat, from the extended family of Champion Makybe Diva.

“Since 2019 Blue Gum Farm has sold over 100 winners at 70% strike rate with 16% stakes horses to runners and our goal is to simply produce tough, sound horses that run,” said Dingwall.

“With our results continuing to prove that the property is an outstanding location to raise quality horses, why would you not place a bid on one of our yearlings at the sale.”
