2018 Italian Derby Winner Sold to Hong Kong

Media Release - Sunday July 29
Paul P Chow and  Tartan Meadow Bloodstock are excited to announce that we have successfully purchased Summer Festival, the winner of the Group II Derby Italiano 2018, for a valued client from Hong Kong.

Poet's Voice is the sire of Summer FestivalA 3yo colt by Group I sire Poet's Voice, he is the latest addition to a stellar field for Hong Kong's 4 year old classics in 2019 that already includes the Queensland Derby winner and runner up Dark Dream and Heavenly Thought, the lightly raced and promising Not Mine who ran a good fifth in the Prix du Jockey Club, and others yet to be revealed by connections.

This purchase is the result of a stringent selection process in which the horse checked all the boxes, and we now look forward to its arrival in Hong Kong this October, where it will display its talent at the top level.
