MM Gold Coast March Yearling Sale to Proceed Under Restricted Conditions

Media Release - Sunday March 15

Following the Prime Minister’s COVID-19 statement on behalf of the Federal and State Government yesterday and in consultation with all our major stakeholders, Magic Millions wishes to advise that the Gold Coast March Yearling Sale will proceed on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th March, 2020; however this will occur under modified business conditions.

With the health and safety of our team, vendors, buyers and general public at the forefront of our decision making process, we have taken great counsel to come to this decision.

As the sale process is the core of our business, we will be taking every precaution to mitigate the risk to any and all attendees.

It is for this reason that we advise that the sale will be closed to the general public and open to only those individuals that wish to undertake business and we request that all potential buyers wishing to attend pre-register via the link here.

We have a quality line up of yearlings at the sale and all have been inspected by the Magic Millions Bloodstock Team and are being videoed for online viewing. MM Team members will be available to advise prospective buyers in the lead up and during the two day sale. Online and telephone bidding is available during both the Gold Coast March Yearling Sale and the Autumn Racehorse Sale. To register for online bidding click here.

The contact details for our onsite Bloodstock Team members are as follows:

A number of private bloodstock agents are also in attendance. For further information please contact Bloodstock Manager Clint Donovan on 0421 944 985 or FBBA President Grant Burns on 0410 683 470.

We regret to advise that for this sale the Complex will be closed to the General Public and we will only be allowing entry to potential buyers. Should you have any symptoms or feel unwell please attend the nearest screening clinics which are located at Robina Health Precinct and Gold Coast University Hospital. We reserve the right to restrict access at any time.

Potential buyers will be contacted to confirm access to the Magic Millions Complex and provided with further details regarding the modifications to our Ringside Dining Area for the Sale.

This decision is based on reducing the number of people that are gathering within the Sales Auditorium, whilst still working to deliver the business of selling horses for our Vendors.

We are sincerely disappointed to have to restrict access to our Sales Complex on Sale Day but respectfully ask for the general public’s support at this time. The Magic Millions Sales Complex is approximately 11 acres, allowing required parties to be able to keep their distance from each other while going about their business.

We continue to monitor the recommendations from the Federal and State Governments at this time and will adapt to the ever changing conditions.
