One to Watch – Mornington

Tara Madgwick - Sunday April 12

The full sister to our ‘One to Watch’ is still for sale having been offered and passed in at Inglis Easter, but if she’s anything like her full sister that won today, it might be time to go back and have another look.

The Anthony Freednam trained I Am Invincible filly Soul Obsession was a hot favourite in the 1000 metre maiden at Mornington and won in a breeze, bolting clear to win by three lengths.

She flew the gates from barrier one for Jamie Kah and held the fence, powering clear to win as she pleased.

Soul Obsession was a $175,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Mane Lodge draft for Anthony Freedman Rcg/Blue Sky Bstock (FBAA) and is the first foal from Spirit Mania, a five time winning full sister to Group II winner Alpha Miss.

Her full sister was offered by Valiant Stud as agent for Mane Lodge at Inglis Easter as Lot 222 with a very reasonable reserve of $200,000 and is pictured below.

Soul Obsession is the 14th two year-old winner this season for I Am Invincible.
