Writing on the Wall

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Monday May 25

Gambling on a third season sire is often seen as a smart play by astute investors and particularly so when the writing is on the wall.

Newgate Farm’s Russian Revolution is a stallion that has captivated the imagination of a lot of breeders, not just because of his brilliant Group I speed and refined good looks, but also because of his proven stallion making female family.

Russian Revolution - click for more information

Tracing to celebrated matriarch Fanfreluche, Russian Revolution is cut from the same cloth as champion Australian sires Encosta de Lago and Flying Spur, who have both had a profound influence on our racing and breeding industry.

Priced at $55,000 in his first two seasons, Russian Revolution covered the cream of the crop, some 449 of the best mares in the country and his first crop of foals, now weanlings, are the subject of high praise from some of the toughest judges in the business.

With a fee reduction to $44,000 this year owing to the pandemic and resulting financial downturn, Russian Revolution offers breeders the chance to utilize a young stallion that promises to be one of the sale ring superstars in 2021.

His first crop are not only stunning individuals, but they have the pedigree to back them up as you can see in the information below.

They will no doubt ultimately find their way into the best racing stables and by the time breeders who go to Russian Revolution this year are ready to take their stock to the marketplace, ‘Russian’ may be well on his way to fulfilling the prophecy of his bloodlines.
