Arrowfield Commit 35 Mares to Written Tycoon

Tara Madgwick - Monday June 8

Arrowfield, in association with Woodside Park Stud, is privileged to stand Written Tycoon this year and last week confirmed 35 quality mares for his 2020 book.

Written Tycoon

They are a stellar group, headed by Champion 3YO Filly Shoals (by Fastnet Rock) and her dam The Broken Shore (by Hussonet), Group 2 winner Noire (by Foxwedge), 2YO Group winners Teaspoon (by Snitzel) and  Honesty Prevails (by Redoute’s Choice; dam of this year’s $1.9 million Deep Impact colt), Group 3 and  multiple Listed stakes winner Angel Of Mercy (by Hussonet) and Rationality (by Flying Spur; sister of G1 Mentality and dam of Group-placed 2YO winner Bartley (by Written Tycoon)).

It didn’t take Written Tycoon long to underline Arrowfield’s enthusiasm with his second Group 1 winner this season, and the ninth of his career when Tyzone nabbed Saturday’s $350,000 BRC Stradbroke Handicap (1400m). Read about him here.

Written Tycoon looks to have landed in the right place as he has enjoyed considerable success with mares by Redoute's Choice, Flying Spur and now Hussonet, who is the sire of the dam of Tyzone.

He has bred four stakes-winners from daughters of Flying Spur including his G1 winner Booker, 17 winners from 18 runners from daughters of Redoute's Choice including G3 winner Teleplay  and four winners from four runners from daughters of Hussonet headed by G1 winner Tyzone.

Writen Tycoon stands at a fee of $77,000.
