Stakes Success for Snitzel's Reloaded

Mark Smith - Saturday May 15

Winless in fifteen starts since making a successful career debut at Rosehill in April 2019, the Chris Waller-trained Snitzel gelding Reloaded rewarded his patient owners with a dominant win in Saturday's Listed TRHA Members' Quality (1600m) at Doomben.

In a tactical race, Cuba and Fabric strode along in front before Michael Cahill on Right And Wrong, and James McDonald on Reloaded made their runs well before the home turn.

Reloaded was the strongest at the finish defeating the Deep Field gelding Luvoir by a length with the veteran Manhattan Rain gelding Right Or Wrong a half-head back in third.

Stable representative Charlie Duckworth said the stable pulled the right rein by choosing this race in preference to the JRA Trophy.

"We have some pretty excited owners. He was dual accepted today, but we chose this over the 2000m race, Duckworth said.

"That (distance) is where he will be heading. We trained his half-brother, who ran in the derby for us, so if we can stretch him out in trip and if he gets a bit of confidence out of today, he will be a nice horse for us.”

Purchased by Harras Syndicate/Mulcaster Bloodstock for $350,000 out of the Arrowfield Stud draft at the 2018 Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Reloaded advances his record to two wins, three seconds and three thirds from 17 starts with earnings of $477,750.

Reloaded a $350,000 Magic Millions Yearling

He is one of six winners from seven to race and the first stakes-winner out of the crack racemare Hollow Bullet.

A daughter of the Sunday Silence stallion Tayasu Tsuyoshi, Hollow Bullet won six races highlighted by the Group 1 Arrowfield Stud Stakes and Group II VRC Wakeful Stakes.

Hollow Bullet has a yearling filly by Maurice (JPN), who was purchased by Ciaron Maher Bloodstock for $200,000 at the Inglis Premier, and a weanling filly by Pariah.

She was not covered last spring.

Reloaded becomes the 109th stakes-winner for Arrowfield Stud's champion stallion Snitzel.
