Yarramalong Park Ready for Even Better

Queensland based Yarramalong Park has ridden the wave of success with Better Than Ready and their Magic Millions drafts have produced five stakes-winners for the star Queensland sire including his Group I WATC Railway Stakes winner Port Lockroy and their 2024 consignment promises to deliver more of the same.

Snapped up for $300,000 from the Yarramalong Park draft in 2022 by Annabel Neasham/Brian McGuire, Port Lockroy has won over $1.1million with the promise of more to come for this likeable four year-old stallion.

Another million-dollar earner is his full brother Alpine Edge, a Group III winner that was second in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic and was purchased from Yarramalong Park for $160,000 in 2018.

Stakes-winners The Vowels, Steady Ready and Better Reflection are also stakes-winners from Yarramalong Park with combined earnings of $1.4million.

Lot 120 Colt Better Than Ready x Zunaida, by Deep Field

Third foal of an unraced half-sister to multiple Group I winning South African Horse of the Year Igugu, Group III winner Honorius, stakes-winner Ngaga, Group III placed Sweet Fire and the dam of Group II winner Tarka.

Lot 158 Colt Farnan x Angharad, by Exceed and Excel

From the second crop of Golden Slipper winner Farnan, already the sire of high class juvenile North England. This colt received a massive pedigree update on Saturday when his half-brother In Good Order won the Group II WATC Van Heemst Stakes at Ascot, read about him here.

This lovely colt is the fifth foal from a winning half-sister to Group I placed Group III winners Sweynesse and Rimraam.
