Inglis Classic Pinhook Winners

A stronger than expected Inglis Classic Yearling Sale this week produced some great pinhook results with 13 yearlings selling for $80,000 or more above their weanling purchase price, so let’s take a look at the best of them.

$360,000 Proisir colt from Respect.

Topping the list was a Kiwi bred Proisir colt from Respect that made $360,000 for Bhima Thoroughbreds when bought by YLP Racing (Yulong).

The third foal of an unraced Savabeel mare from the family of 2024 French Group I winner Puchkine, the handsome dark brown colt was sourced from the Haunui Farm draft at the NZB National Weanling Sale for $110,000 by Kilgravin Holdings Ltd / Bevan Smith Bloodstock. He always looked well placed at Inglis Classic where he could stand out as one of only five in the sale by his champion sire.

$250,000 Ole Kirk colt from Iconista.

Victorian based Sullivan Bloodstock were well rewarded for their Ole Kirk colt from Iconista that made $250,000 when bought by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott / Kestrel Thoroughbreds.

The second foal of a metro winning Denman daughter of stakes-winner Belcentra, he was sourced from the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft at the Magic millions National Weanling Sale for $70,000 by Sullivan Bloodstock/Bevan Smith Bloodstock.

$170,000 Written Tycoon filly from Maui Girl.

Kenmore Lodge had a fairytale result selling a filly by Written Tycoon from Maui Girl for $170,000 Jewelry Piko Racing / Satomi Oka Bloodstock.

Bred by Yulong, she is the second foal of Maui Girl, a winning Lope de Vega daughter of Group I placed stakes-winner Run For Naara. The filly was offered by Yulong in the Inglis Digital April (late) Sale last year where she was spotted by Letitia Langbecker of Embrook Thoroughbreds, who bought the filly for just $6,500.

Kenmore Lodge had another good result with a Farnan colt from Shudabeen that sold for $180,000 to Lees Racing / Bahen Bloodstock / Australian Bloodstock.

The third foal of winning I Am Invincible mare Shudabeen, he was snapped up from the Fairhill Farm draft at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale for $60,000 by Kenmore Lodge.

$130,000 Acrobat colt from Musicmaker.

Willow Park Stud punted first season sire Acrobat for their pinhooking exercise and achieved a strong result with their colt from Musicmaker selling for $130,000 to Kurrinda Bloodstock / MJD Racing.

The third foal of a metro winning All Too Hard half-sister to stakes-winner Just as Sharp from stakes-winner Readyor tracing back to Champion 3YO Filly Triscay, the colt was a bargain $10,000 purchase for Willow Park from the Morning Rise Stud draft at the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale
