Tara Madgwick - Thursday October 9

Joe Pride has already prepared a stakes-winner for Godolphin in blue-blood Lonhro colt Attica and he unleashed a debut winner for them by I Am Invincible at Hawkesbury on Thursday.

Three year-old filly Taxation was a short priced favourite for the 1000m maiden with Zac Lloyd to ride and in a competitive field she powered home to win by half a length.

Taxation is the first foal of Group III ATC Widden Stakes winner Amercement, a half-sister by Lonhro to the dam of Group III winner Red Card.

Amercement missed and slipped in two seasons after having Taxation, but has foaled safely this spring producing a filly by I am Invincible’s Group I winning son Brazen Beau.

The I Am Invincible x Lonhro nick has some impressive stats with 23 winners from 26 starters, so runs at 88.5% winner to runner. There are four stakes-winners bred this way headed by Group II winner Estriella so the SW to runner strike rates is 15%.
