Disneck - Mr Consistency for Trapeze Artist

Tara Madgwick - Saturday December 28

Four year-old gelding Disneck was the very first winner for Trapeze Artist when he won at Rosehill in November 2022 and two years on he’s never been going better with a cavalier victory at Randwick on Saturday bringing Christmas cheer for his big team of happy owners.

Trained by Bjorn Baker and ridden by Zac Lloyd, Disneck made it back to back Saturday metro wins when charging to the line from last to win the Benchmark 78 event over 1200m by two lengths taking his overall record to five wins and three placings from 23 starts with prizemoney just shy of $500,000.

Bred by Phoenix Thoroughbreds, Disneck was a $200,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Gooree Park draft for Bjorn Baker Racing / Clarke Bloodstock (FBAA) and has a prominent baldy face like his sire.

He is the best of two winners from a speedy imported stakes-winner in Lindisfarne (USA), a half-sister by City Zip to Group I placed stakes-winner Flora Dora.

Trapeze Artist has 35 entries for Magic Millions.

Disneck is one of 38 winners this season for Widden Stud’s  Trapeze Artist, who is the second leading third crop sire by winners and has 35 entries for Magic Millions and 14 for Inglis Classic.
